Mr. Hirakjyoti Das is an Assistant Professor of Pharmacology at Bharat Pharmaceutical Technology, Amtali, Tripura. He holds a Master of Pharmacy (M. Pharm) in Pharmacology from NETES Institute of Pharmaceutical Science, Mirza, and a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm) from Assam Down Town University, Guwahati. With a strong background in both academic and practical aspects of pharmacology, he has experience as a community pharmacist and has undergone practical training at Sub-Divisional Civil Hospital, Pathsala, Assam. His research interests span ethnopharmacology, drug discovery from medicinal plants, molecular docking study and pharmacological screening of bioactive compounds. During his M. Pharm, he conducted research on diabetes mellitus, exploring potential therapeutic interventions, while his B. Pharm research focused on evaluating the anthelmintic activity of natural compounds. He has also conducted an ethnobotanical survey in three villages of Bajali district, Assam, documenting traditional medicinal practices. He integrates both clinical and research perspectives into his teaching.
